Windy City Conference Championships - July 27

Congrats to the 29 CWAC swimmers who participated in the Windy City Conference Meet on Tuesday night at Northside College Prep.  The meet was a great end of season championship for many of our younger and newer members.  New regional times were achieved by Carson Goldrick, Kailyn Mabon and Adam Ruiz.  Bahda Hoang set a new team record in the 8&U girls 50 backstroke - SCY Team Records

Regional Championships - July 23-25

Congrats to the 39 CWAC swimmers who qualified and participated in the Regional Championship Meet at UIC.  Although the meet was short course the team picked up eight new state cuts.  Eva Fernandez, Karen Juarez, Nikol Lagodzinska and Nigel Vanha all made new state cuts.  William Christy set a new team record in the 10&U boys 500 free and Matthew Fernandez set a new team record in the 8&U boys 200 free - SCY Team Records

Senior State Championships - July 15-18

Congrats to the 18 CWAC swimmers who helped the team to an 17th place finish at the Senior State Meet.  Congrats to Chloe Ott who won her first ever State Title in the 100 breaststroke.  Chloe finished 6th place in the women's high point standings to go along with a 3rd place finish in the 200 breast, 4th in the 400 IM, 6th in the 200 IM and 16th in the 100 free.  Jaime Juarez posted a trio of top 16 performances in taking 10th in the 200 IM, 12th in the 200 fly and 14th in the 100 fly.  Ramrio Almaraz took 11th in the 400 IM and 16th in the 200 back.  22 new team records were set over the course of the weekend.  Individual team records were set by Ramiro Almaraz, Marysol Arce, Eduardo Chavez, Jaime Juarez and Chloe Ott.  Updated team records.  Complete meet results can be found on the results page

COHO Summer Classic - July 9-11

Congrats to the 60 CWAC swimmers who participated in the COHO Summer Classic over the weekend.  The meet is a rare chance for the Wolfpack to swim outside and the team did a great job winning the meet by a scant 31 points over the host.  New state times were achieved by Connor Carr, William Christy, Kailyn Mabon, Danielle Mantich, Sara Mantich, Aaron Payne, Spencer Stoneberg and Kelvin Xie.

New regional times were posted by Edgar Chaidez, Emily Erickson, Michael Erickson, Justin Fernandez, Matthew Fernandez, Gunnar Glaab, Georgia Goldrick, James Haney, Lillian Hua, Kailyn Mabon, Nina Mantich, Sara Mantich, Evan O'Donnell, Katherine Shen, Spencer Stoneberg, Nigel Vanha and Ethan Yau.

Wheaton & Midway Meets - June 18-20

Congrats to the 63 CWAC swimmers who participated in the Wheaton Father's Day Challenge at UIC and the Midway Races at the University of Chicago meets over the weekend.  CWAC won the Midway meet by 75 points.  Congrats to first time state qualifiers Alexsandra Baranowska and Connor Carr.  New state times were achieved by Marysol Arce, Alexsandra Baranowska, Connor Carr, Jaime Juarez, Karen Juarez, Nina Mantich and Reilly Shields.

Alligator Summer Classic - June 5-6

Age Group State Championships - March 12-14

Congrats to the 19 CWAC swimmers who helped the team to a 10th place finish at the Age Group State Meet.  The meet was highlighted by two state championship performances.  The 11-12 boys 200 medley relay of Reilly Shields, Evan O'Donnell, Jesus Juarez and Mitch Easterhouse became the first foursome to capture a state relay title in CWAC history.  Danielle Mantich grabbed her first state title in the 200 backstroke picking up her first ever Junior National cut in the process.  The same 11-12 boys foursome took 2nd place in the 400 free relay.  The 11-12 girls foursome of Natalie Tapia, Nina Mantich, Karen Juarez and Marysol Arce finished 4th place in both the 400 medley and 400 free relay. 

Top 8 performances were turned in by Marysol Arce (200 IM / 500 free), Jesus Juarez (100 fly / 100 free), Danielle Mantich (400 IM / 100 back), Sara Mantich (100 breast), Evan O'Donnell (50 breast / 100 breast) and Natalie Tapia (50 free / 100 IM / 50 back / 100 free).  New team records were set by Marysol Arce, Jesus Juarez, Karen Juarez, Danielle Mantich, Nina Mantich, Sara Mantich, Evan O'Donnell, Reilly Shields and Natalie Tapia - updated team records.

Senior State Championships - March 4-7

Congrats to the 18 CWAC swimmers who helped the team to an 11th place finish at the Senior State Meet.  Congrats to Chloe Ott who finished 5th place in the women's high point standings. Michael Charysh picked up a new Junior National Cut in the 100 breaststroke.  21 new team records were set over the course of the weekend.  Individual team records were set by Ramiro Almaraz, Michael Charysh, Alexa Chavez, Eduardo Chavez, James Haney, Jenny Hendler, Jaime Juarez and Chloe Ott.  New relay records were set by the men's 800 free relay of Charysh, Almaraz, Zach Wenner and Juarez and the women's 400 medley relay of Chavez, Ott, Brooke Telander and Hendler.  Updated team records.

Chloe Ott had the highest finish for the Wolfpack taking 2nd place in the women's 100 breast.  Chloe also had 4 additional top 8 individual performances and 2 relay top 16 showings.  Other top 8 finalists include: Michael Charysh 5th in the 100 breast.  Brooke Telander 5th in the 50 free and  Alexa Chavez 7th in the 200 back.  Other point scorers for the Wolfpack include Ramiro Almaraz, Eduardo Chavez, Zach Wenner, Jaime Juarez, Jenny Hendler, Meghan Murphy, Kevin Barth, Brian Edgeworth and Mark Alvarado. Regional Championships - February 26-28

Congrats to the 42 CWAC swimmers who qualified and participated in the Regional Championship Meet at HF High School. The team picked up seven new state cuts.  Michael Erickson achieved his first ever state cut in the 100 butterfly.  Justin Fernandez, Jesus Juarez and Evan O'Donnell all picked up new individual cuts.  Alexis Porter achieved three new state cuts.  William Christy set a new team record in the 10&U boys 500 free.

Congrats to the 80 CWAC swimmers who helped the team to a second place finish at our Conference Meet behind the host Team Millennium.  Alexi s Porter and Evan O'Donnell picked up new State Cuts.  The team picked up 15 new regional times.  Abby Amado and Samantha Weising achieved their first ever regional cuts.  New regional cuts were attained by William Christy, Finn Connors, Michael Erickson, Carson Goldrick, Georgia Goldrick, Lillian Hua, Emily Nielsen, Spencer Stoneberg, Kerry Symanski and Elizabeth Vanha

BR Ryall Valentine's Day Classic - February 12-14

Congrats to the 88 CWAC swimmers who helped the team to a third place finish at a meet that featured many of the top teams in the state.  Congrats to Marysol Arce, Sarah Mantich, Chloe Ott, Christopher Schuering and Natalie Tapia who set individual new team records. Chloe Ott picked up 2 Junior National Cuts (400 IM / 200 Breast).  Danny Thrall made 4 Speedo Sectional Cuts, Alexis Porter achieved her first State Cut, Carson and Georgia Goldrick, Vanessa Herrera and Kendrick Xie achieved their first Regional Times.

TOPS Claire Statton Memorial Invite - January 29-31

HFSC Hammerhead Challenge - January 15-17

Congrats to the 74 CWAC swimmers who helped the team win their second invitational in a row.  This marks the third year in a row CWAC has won the Hammerhead Challenge.  Congrats to Marysol Arce, Lillian Hua and Christopher Schuering who set new team records. 

New State times were achieved by Brianna Gist and Reilly Sheilds.  New Regional times were achieved by Finnbarr Connors, Mitch Easterhouse, Kerry Symanski and Nigel Vanha.

HWSA Winter Classic - January 8-10

Congrats to the 85 CWAC swimmers who participated in the Hickory Willow Winter Classic this past weekend at Stagg High School.  This was the first meet of the new year and gave swimmers a chance to swim fast after a couple tough weeks of holiday training.  Congrats to Sara Mantich and Christopher Schuering who set new team records. 

New State times were achieved by Chloe Ott, Reilly Shields and Natalie Tapia.  New Regional times were achieved by William Christy, Mitch Easterhouse, Brianna Gist, Jesus Juarez, Karen Juarez, Sarah Mantich, Evan O’Donnell, Alexis Porter and Nigel Vanha.

IMX Challenge - December 19-20

Congrats to the 43 CWAC swimmers who participated in the IMX Challenge this past weekend at Elk Grove High School.  This meet gave swimmers a chance to swim some new events and allowed them to qualify for the IMX program.  Congrats to Marysol Arce, Chloe Ott and Christopher Schuering who set new team records.

Westmont Mid-Season Challenge - December 4-6

Congrats to the 75 CWAC swimmers who participated in the Mid-Season Challenge this past weekend at UIC.  CWAC took first place in the team standings and were led by high point winner Lillian Hua (9-10 girls) and 3rd place high point winners Jesus Juarez (11-12 boys) and Chloe Ott (Senior girls).  Congrats to Christopher Schuering, Emily Erickson and Sara Mantich who set new team records.

GILLS Pentathlon - November 21

Congrats to the 43 CWAC swimmers who participated in the Pentathlon this past weekend at Andrew High School.  CWAC took second place in the meet finishing second on the boys side and 4th on the girls side.  Congrats to Christopher Schuering who set new team records in the 6&U 50 free and 25 fly.  New  State times were achieved by Evan O'Donnell and Reilly Shields.  New Regional times were achieved by Jeronimo Chavez, Justin Fernandez and James Haney.  Individual event winners include: Matthew Fernandez, Lillian Hua, Nina Mantich, Evan O'Donnell, Reilly Shields and Kendrick Xie.  Complete meet results can be found on the results page

50 Freeze - November 15

Congrats to the 92 CWAC swimmers who participated in the 50 Freeze this past weekend at Fenwick High School.  CWAC took first place in the meet for the first time and won both the boys and girls meet.  Congrats to Jaime Juarez (100 fly) and Danielle Mantich (100 back) who set new team records.  New  State times were achieved by Lillian Hua and Nina Mantich.  New Regional times were achieved by Kevin Barth, Paul Bouschlicher, Emily Erickson, Justin Fernandez, Brianna Gist, Cody Meuris and Aaron Payne.

Joliet Jets Ghostly Gathering - October 24-25

Congrats to the 94 CWAC swimmers who participated in the Ghostly Gathering at UIC this past weekend.  This was the first big ISI meet of the season and the Wolfpack were out in force taking second place as a team and finishing second in both the girls and boys standings.   Congrats to Yuyu Kathahira who set new 8&U girls  record in the 200 IM. New  State times were achieved by Marysol Arce, Natalie Tapia and Mark Wilcoxen.  New Regional times were achieved by Brayden Amendola, Nader Ammar, Marysol Arce, Justin Fernandez, Gunnar Glaab, Sara Mantich, Cody Meuris, Evan O’Donnell, Aaron Payne, Alexis Porter, Adam Ruiz, Mark Wilcoxen and Kelvin Xie.

Coho - Mundelein - CWAC Tri-Meet - October 18

Congrats to the 28 CWAC swimmers who participated in the tri-meet on Sunday at Deerfield High School.  This was a great way for our swimmer to prepare for the upcoming ISI meets and race against some different competition.  Congrats to Christopher Schuering who set new 6&U boys records in the 25 free and 100 IM. CWAC Intrasquad Meet - October 10

Congrats to the 94 CWAC swimmers who participated in the Annual Intrasquad Meet on Saturday.  This was a great way for new swimmers to get some swim meet experience as we get ready for the upcoming ISI meets. For the first time in 6 years the boys defeated the girls in the team scoring.
